COURSE OVERVIEW
Exploring Abstraction is a four day immersive art workshop designed for young artists aged 11-14 who are curious about pushing their creativity beyond realism. Working from still life arrangements and natural forms, students will learn how to transform observational drawings into expressive, imaginative abstract artworks.
Across the four days, participants will explore a wide range of artistic processes including drawing, painting, printmaking, and low relief sculpture. Techniques introduced include collagraph, Tetra Pak printing, heat press printing, and plaster relief. By the end of the course, each student will have created a small collection of experimental mixed media artworks.
This course is ideal for pupils who enjoy art, want to broaden their creative skills, or are considering future GCSE or portfolio development.
